We walk towards the base of the Cock and Chick then climb up and along West Bank and along the lower paths past the reservoir to the head of the valley, we return through woodland to the finish. Some paths are narrow and may be muddy.

We walk from the car park to Bridge Street and the Old Blaina Road, through Abertillery Park to the Ebbw Fach Trail, Via Bournville to Roseheyworth Nature Reserve, then we climb above Roseheyworth and down to Cwmtillery then return to the car park.

Cwm Carn Circular
Good paths with easy climbs. We walk along the canal to Nant Carn over the old dam wall and on to the forest drive visitor centre.
Then we take the forest path through Cwm Gopafi and Rhyswg fach to the end of Cwm Carn, returning via the ponds and visitor centre.

We start with a steep climb through woods, clambering over some fallen trees. Hills Tramway is evident along the climb and as we walk along the Blorenge. We continue downhill towards Govilon, and finish with a stroll along the old Railway Line.
